Happy Haulidays: Pt. 3 BBW was lit!

And the good times just keep rolling! Welcome back for Part 3 of our Haulidays series, Miles Tribe. So, we’ve been on a real fashion kick lately (sorry not sorry) and with all of the gift shopping I’ve been doing, it was the perfect opportunity to share with y’all and switch things up a bit. Bath and Body Works was having an incredible sale on their large, 3-wick candles AND all of their Aromatherapy products. So your girl cleaned UP.

I’m actually going to start with the last thing first. This was an impulse by when I got to the counter. The aromatherapy section at Bath and Body Works has always been just a bit too strong for me. This one called Happiness, however, is new to me. Bergamot and mandarin is super refreshing and energizing. It’s still really strong but not in a way that makes me nauseas or migrainey.  Husband also really loves this scent and has been using it daily in place of cologne or body spray–we’re not typically big on perfumes and prefer more muted, subtle scents. Retail: $13.50 … Sale Price: $4.95

The next three items are all body scrubs in different scent combinations. The first is called Comfort and it’s made with vanilla absolute and patchouli oil. It’s a sweet, earthy scent that is really relaxing and calming. I can’t wait to start using this before bed. The hope is that it’ll help me get back into a nighttime routine & maybe help me sleep better. Retail: $16.50 … Sale Price: $4.95

Recharge is made with sage oil and mint oil. Similar to BBW’s signature Eucalyptus Mint scent, this one is a bit milder and definitely less headachey. It’s still really invigorating & helps to clear out your sinuses which is a huge bonus with all the pollen going around.   Retail: $16.50 … Sale Price: $4.95 *I couldn’t find this one online, so it might be sold out, but I’ve linked their body wash in case you’re interested*

A long time ago BBW used to have an aromatherapy system that wasn’t eucalyptus mint but eucalyptus tea. It was milder and less abrasive. I’m hoping this Focus will be similar. Retail: $16.50 … Sale Price: $4.95

And then, there were candles… oh so, so many candles. I’ll try to keep it brief, fam. So if you’ve seen my other BBW candle haul you know that I absolutely fell in love with the Vanilla Birch scent. Imagine my heartbreak when I went back and found it gone. I know. The sales clerk did suggest this one called Smoked Birch and it’s pretty damn close.  Retail: $26.50… Sale: $12.95

I feel like for the winter time, at least in our house, Fresh Balsam is kind of a given. It makes everything smell crisp and clean and woodsy, just like where I grew up in the mountains on the west coast. Retail: $24.50… Sale: $12.95

If you have never smelled Spiced Apple Toddy, do yourself a favor and visit your local BBW. It’s a beautiful apple cinnamon blend that makes a whole room just feel warm and inviting, you know? And if you’re familiar at all with their fall candle called Leaves, this one is a great dupe that’s available in the wintertime.  Retail: $24.50… Sale: $12.95

This next one, Bergamot Waters, is a perfect gift item. It has sugared citrus with a bit of creamy sandalwood & fresh bergamot which makes this a little sweet & surprisingly earthy at the same time.   Retail: $26.50… Sale: $12.95

This next one I got specifically with my little brother in mind. I remember when this scent first premiered at BBW and everyone lost their minds over it. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s called Mahogany Teakwood and it smells like the signature men’s cologne from Abercrombie & Fitch. For a long time my husband wore this cologne so it’s always associated with pleasant memories for me but as we’ve grown and changed it’s a bit too overwhelming for us. For our younger brother, however, it’s just the thing. Retail: $24.50… Sale: $12.95

So you know when you find something that’s perfect for somebody but maybe it’s also kinda perfect for you, too? Yeah… that’s what White Driftwood is. I picked it up thinking it totally fits my mom’s aesthetic but once I realized it smells like home (suntan lotion and saltwater with a light perfumey sweetness– it’s hard to describe) I sort of fell in love with it myself. Probably because it reminds me so much of my mother and scent is the strongest link to memory. So I’ll be including this in her Christmas package for sure.  Retail: $22.50… Sale: $12.95

For all my mint chocolate chip babes out there, White Mint Latte is the one for you. It’s not a sickly sweet fake chocolate the way some things can be. Instead it’s peppermint up front while cocoa takes a backseat. It’s the perfect hostess gift that’s sweet without being over the top.  Retail: $24.50… Sale: $12.95

This one is called Winter Sage and it really reminds me of my uncle or my father-in-law. It’s a stronger cologne scent but in a natural way, not a cloying way. Woodsy and crisp, it’s made with sage and juniper essential oils.  Retail: $24.50… Sale: $12.95

This Golden Amber and Oak is great for that PacSun lover in your life. I picture my little cousin (who’s not so little anymore) who loves friendship bracelets and bright colors and being goofy with her friends. It’s a youthful fun scent with golden amber, rose petals, and white oak. It smells a lot like the signature perfumes that can be found at stores like PacSun or even Forever21. Retail: $24.50… Sale: $12.95

Come to mama, you hippie-smellin’ thing! Now, real talk: I’ve never been that into patchouli. I wanted to like it but something about all the times I’ve tried it so far just hasn’t stuck. I tend to really like it when it’s mixed with other things like the way this candle mixes patchouli with cedarwood. I need another word other than woodsy, but I mean… it’s woodsy. I’d like to use this as a meditation candle moving forward into the new year. And how cute are some of the new candle tops, y’all? Just wait until I show you how I repurpose some of these containers. Retail: $24.50… Sale: $12.95 *might be sold out online, I couldn’t find it on their site*

So this next one is my husband’s favorite. I really lucked out, too. This was the last one in the whole store. Tea and lemon is pretty straightforward. It literally smells like sweet tea with lemon. I try to limit this to the kitchen area where it smells clean and lemony fresh.  Retail: $24.50… Sale: $12.95 *might be sold out online, I couldn’t find it on their site*

Mineral Springs is another cologne-smelling candle. There were a lot of those when I went and I’m actually really surprised at how many I wound up grabbing because it’s not my usual M.O. But this one again was just really clean smelling and would make an easy gift on-the-go. It has night-blooming lily and a hint of lime to keep it upbeat and light.  Retail: $24.50… Sale: $12.95 *might be sold out online, I couldn’t find it on their site*

I told you I cleaned up this year. Holy cow! If you didn’t get a chance to hit these sales, keep an eye out for the next one. There are always great deals to be found with Bath and Body Works. They send great coupons and notifications through email and snail mail, too. And they offer a 100% guarantee which is almost unheard of. Like something in-store but maybe a little less once you’re home? Take it back in with your receipt, no hassle. That is one thing I have always appreciated about BBW as a company. They really are customer focused. I hope these gave y’all a few ideas if you’re still hunting and pecking for last minute gifts or even just things for the home if you’re having family over. More than anything, I hope that we all remember what’s important this time of year (and throughout the year). As much money as we may save or spend and as many gifts as we give or receive, nothing is more valuable or treasured than being able to spend time with the ones we love. I’m off to do just that. I wish you all good things, fam. Always. Xo
