Goddess Provisions: Mother Gaia box

IT’S HERE!!! Okay. I am so excited to receive my second box now from the subscription service Goddess Provisions. If you haven’t yet, be sure to check out my November Aura box for context. Spoiler: it was AWESOME! Now, this is not one of my monthly boxes. This is actually an extra box that I snagged during their Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale. That’s right. An EXTRA box this month. When I was on their site I had a difficult time choosing, to tell you the truth. What it came down to was the way this particular box really benefited someone aside from myself. I’ll explain, keep reading…

The first item from the box is this vanilla-neem Ayurvedic soap by Auromere. It’s a 2.75oz bar of cruelty free, vegan, non-GMO, rainforest-friendly, biodegradable, paraben-free, and gluten-free soap. Try saying that five times fast. It’s great for dry-delicate skin types (um, yes please!) which is great for my sensitive skin as it gets dryer and dryer heading into December. It has a nice light (and 100% natural) vanilla scent to it and I really can’t wait to try it out. For those of you who understand my love of soap (as told in my previous post) this is already off to a great start. Retail: $2.95-$30.00

Yussssss… Have I mentioned in the last five minutes just how in love I am with this subscription service? It’s really building up my essential oil stock. This Golden Earth Chakra 3 Oil rollerball in Optimism (neroli essential oil blend infused with citrine) smells SO GOOD, y’all. I wish you could smell it through this post. Their site reads: “Neroli is the intoxicatingly wonderful scent of orange blossoms. It is peaceful, spiritual, loving and emotionally supportive in times of sadness and grief. It renews and uplifts our senses, enhances personal power and creates a sense of joy. Citrine is one of two crystals that does not collect negative energy and does not need to be cleansed… It aligns the chakras and inspires a sense of joy and happiness. Chakra 3 is known as the solar plexus chakra, it is located 2 inches above the navel. It relates to the liver, gall bladder, stomach, spleen, small intestine and pancreas.” This will be my new on-the-go purse oil.  Retail: $26.00-$95.00

Now this next one was expected but also kind of a surprise. In each box one can expect to receive a crystal or stone of some sort. In this particular box, it was advertised that the stone I could expect was a crystal heart in either lepidolite or obsidian. So imagine my surprise when I found this beautiful jade pyramid instead. And you know, I quite prefer it because I received a beautiful etched heart crystal in my last box so I’m happy to have some variety. That, and I get some sort of weird rush from having something different or unexpected. Just me? Almost like a happy accident. Serendipity in the flesh. In stone? Either way. It was free-floating in the box with no information attached and since it was an anomaly there’s no information listed for it on the synopsis card. So like the shameless nerd that I am, I researched it and I found: “Pyramids amplify and then tightly focus energy through the apex. This Jade pyramid can be used to draw off negative energy and blockage from the Heart Chakra. The heart chakra acts as the balance point for all the chakras. It governs our relationships and how we interact with other people.”  The stone I should have received was valued at $18.00. I’m not sure what this one cost.

Does anyone else get dry lips this time of year? Especially at night with allergies and/or sickness I find that my skin, especially my lips dry out so much quicker. I’m excited to try out this conditioning lip oil in the scent “sweet orange and ylang ylang” from Tuore Naturals. I can’t get enough of the organic, natural, handmade products in these boxes, y’all. Seriously, if you’re new to making some of these changes it may be worth it to look into a subscription service like Goddess Provisions so that you can sample various products that are ecofriendly and earth conscious. This is only my second box from them and I’ve already been introduced to products and companies that I will definitely be revisiting/supporting. Retail: $6.00

Real talk: my husband and I tried this straight out of the box. Because we’re humanoids and therefore stupidly curious. Digestive BITTERS is right. This travel size spray from Urban Moonshine Organic Herbal Apothecary is as helpful as it is disgusting. And I say that with complete respect and zero sarcasm. I’ve used it twice now to treat heartburn and it has worked almost immediately both times. I’m not sure what sort of voodoo is brewing in this magic potion but I’m definitely buying what they’re selling.

“Original Digestive Bitters–for the bitter enthusiast!
Urban Moonshine’s hand-crafted Digestive Bitters are a well balanced, aromatic, non-laxative update to traditional bitters formulas. These original digestive bitters are certified organic and handcrafted to please everyone. Why take bitters?

To stimulate healthy digestion, enjoy approximately ¼ teaspoon (1.2 mL) of our bitters before or after meals (not to exceed 8 times per day)! Not to be used in pregnancy.

Retail: $7.99-$44.99

Out of all of the things in this box (including the grossly effective bitters) this particular 100% organic, vegan Shanti protein bar is probably the one that I’m not super excited about. I’m picky about protein bars and I’m not big on spicy things. However, I am open to trying new things AND I love that Shanti is all about “handcrafting energy and protein bars… [by] combining 100% organic, raw, plant-based ingredients, spices, and nutrient-rich superfoods like chia and hemp seeds, acai, spirulina, and cacao.” It doesn’t hurt that these bars are favored among athletes and Olympians, either. I mean, they must be doing a pretty bang up job, right? So I’m excited to bust open this “vitality” mulberry protein bar at some point (likely with my husband who will probably love this). I’m also interested to see what other flavors are out there.  Retail: $3.00-$31.86

The last thing I have to share with y’all is the really what drew me to this particular box. I grew up in a very small town out on the west coast. The ocean holds such a special place in my heart and so to be able to give back even just a little means so much to me. 4Ocean is an organization that helps bring awareness to the public on important environmental issues involving our oceans. Our bracelet is made from 100% Recycled Materials. The beads are made from recycled glass bottles & the cord is made from recycled plastic water bottles.” The funds from each purchase of one of their amazing bracelets goes directly back to the community providing the support necessary to cleanup our earth and remove approximately a pound of trash and debris from the ocean. During a season of so much excess and merriment, it’s easy to forget about the things that truly matter outside of ourselves and our immediate circumstances. I would encourage and challenge everyone to give back this season, and every season. Every little bit helps. Retail: $20.00

So for those of you keeping track at home, this box of organic, sustainable goodies bares an estimate value of approximately $84. This box costs $39.00 regular price. I paid $22 for it AND my purchase supports a cause that is both near and dear to my heart: ocean conservation and cleanup. My money will also serve small businesses and local artisans so they can continue to make beautiful, healthy, and conscious products to make this world a better place. My patronage at Goddess Provisions also ensures that they can continue to support all of their amazing friends and business partners. I hope that these things continue for a long, long time to come. If you’re interest in this box or any of the MANY others available, please check out Goddess Provisions. You can purchase one-time boxes like this Mother Gaia box or sign up for a monthly subscription and get an amazing gift box delivered right to your door full of products just like those shown here.

Fam, it has been a real treat opening this box with y’all. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Even if organic, raw, natural isn’t your thing (but really, it’s worth looking into) these products are truly worth every penny. Feel free to look into them individually if you’re skeptical. If you’re already having a passionate love affair with one or more of these products, please let me know in the comments box below or send me a message. Want to see more of these or possibly a review of another product/subscription service? Don’t be shy! “Like” this post and don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss out on the December Box that’s is already on its way! Wishing you all good things, Miles Tribe. Now, and always. Xo
